What is your preferred method of keeping informed? OnPayroll.ca has expanded to offer several options on social networks. In addition some of the government agencies offer subscriptions to electronic mailing lists.
Linkedin is by far the best network to connect with on a professional basis. With over 120 million users, it's one of the fastest ways to grow your professional network. Connect with Bill Smyth or Natasha Smyth for regular updates or follow the OnPayroll.ca Company Page .
Facebook, has over750 million users. With it being more of a social network, we are posting Canadian payroll news and information on legislative changes along with pictures from some of the conferences we attend and the odd video. If you would like to keep up with us via Facebook, please like our OnPayroll.ca page.
Twitter is like a daily online update from selected tweeters with short snippets of information. There are over 200 million users on twitter. Updates are short (140 characters or less) and normally to the point. They may or may not link to additional information. You don't have to sign up for twitter so see tweets necessarily. Some people and companies have integrated it with their facebook page. We have made these updates available on our website. You don't have to have a twitter account to see our tweets. They can be viewed on AskOnPayroll's twitter page here or on our website www.onpayroll.ca . If you do have a twitter account, please follow AskonPayroll for Canadian payroll news and information on legislative changes.
Our free bi-weekly newsletter is available on an opt-in basis. As a subscriber, we would be honoured if you referred a friend or colleague who may enjoy and benefit from OnPayroll.ca's newsletter. Another great source of information is this blog that we started this year. We plan to post to a new blog every few weeks on issues that are relevant to the payroll community. We always welcome your feedback and comments.
The Canadian Payroll Association offers weekly tips on their website . A membership to the association will gain you access to their "Payroll InfoLine" and publications distributed throughout the year.
Lastly, you can consider subscribing to some of the sources directly. Many of the Worker's Compensation's boards have an email newsletter allowing you to stay up to date with the latest information. The Canada Revenue Agency allows you to subscribe to a number of electronic mailing lists here.
Whatever the information is that you are looking for, in a way that you choose to receive it, we hope to continue being a valuable resource to you. We welcome your feedback, comments and engagement.
